OUR HISTORY

Decades of proven experience in impact extrusion

For more than 60 years, Thunderbird Metals has produced aluminum and steel impact extrusions for customers in a broad range of industries. We delivered our first components using our aluminum impact extrusion technology in 1959. We have invested in our technologies and have grown as a leader, innovator, and global choice in the industry.

Enduring innovation, quality, and customer service

Our reputation was built over the years on our innovative designs and processes, consistently high-quality components, and the engineering expertise and capacity to produce even the most difficult-to-manufacture products. We value the long-lasting relationships we've made with our loyal customers.

Once competitors, our north and south facilities have evolved to become a leading force in the impact extrusion segment.

Built for the future, built for you

Being part of a larger formation of companies with multiple locations means we have a broader range of capabilities and added capacity. We are proud to be a Thunderbird company producing aluminum and steel impact extrusions for a global market.

We have not lost sight of where we came from, however. Our Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and New Albany, Mississippi, facilities remain where they have called home for years. Many of the employees at each location have been there for decades. We even have descendants of original ownership still working with us. We appreciate those who built the foundation of our business, and we are excited about what the future holds.
